Your Questions, Answered
-
Pilates is for anyone with a body. Flexible bodies, stiff bodies, “my back made a noise” bodies, and “I swear I used to be athletic” bodies. If you can lie down, breathe, and occasionally giggle, you’ll fit right in.
-
Comfortable, form‑fitting athletic wear. Please no zippers or hardware. Grip socks required. Jewelry removed. Your reformer appreciates the courtesy.
-
Grip socks, but we don’t mind if you forget - we sell them, and they’re cute enough to justify forgetting on purpose.
Water bottle - Our bottle‑filling station is ready to hydrate your hopes, dreams, and quads.
Personal towel - for blotting the glow, the effort, and the moment you realize grasshopper is… ambitious.
Hair tie - because nothing says “I’m fighting for my life” like hair in your eyes during flying splits.
Deodorant refresh — a tiny swipe of courage before class.
A sense of humor — mandatory for when the springs humble you.
Grit — you’ll need it when your core starts filing complaints.
An open mind — the reformer looks innocent; it is not.
Your phone on silent — your core prefers not to be interrupted.
Things you don’t need to bring
Judgment — especially of yourself. We don’t do that here.
Perfectionism — Pilates is a practice, not a performance.
Equipment cleaning supplies - we absolutely want you to clean up after yourself… just with our products, not whatever mystery spray is in your gym bag.
-
Please arrive at least 5 minutes early. If you’re new, make it 10 so you can get oriented and not feel like you’re speed‑dating a reformer.
-
Yes — easy, convenient, and close enough that you won’t need a warm‑up walk.
-
Absolutely — Pilates is beginner‑friendly, and our instructors are trained to support all levels. You’ll be guided safely through every movement, no heroics required.
We recommend starting with an Intro Session to get acquainted with the reformer and learn the basics. We’ll offer these periodically so you can ease in without feeling like you’ve wandered into a spaceship.
Beginners often find the pace of Glisten more manageable. This doesn’t mean it’s not spicy — it absolutely is — you’ll just have slower transitions so you can build confidence, learn the equipment, and still leave feeling like you did something.
-
Strength, mobility, core work, and occasional moments of “Oh wow, I didn’t know I had that muscle.”
-
Probably — in the good way. Pilates wakes up muscles politely but firmly.

Yes. Hydration is encouraged. Bring your refillable bottle.

There is a shower in one of the bathrooms, but it’s not for client use — it’s more of an art installation than an actual shower. Please plan to rinse off at home.

Yes! We provide the supplies.
-
Yes. Our instructors are certified, qualified, and trained through actual programs, not the kind of weekend crash course where you leave with a certificate and a free tote bag.
